Subject: Canadian Law of Obligations III - Call for Abstracts

Dear ODGers / GSPLTers,

On June 23-24, 2022, the University of British Columbia Peter A. Allard School of Law will host the third Canadian Law of Obligations conference on campus at UBC’s Green College. The intent is that this will be an in-person conference, so long as public health regulations permit, and subject to any changes the conference organisers may deem appropriate. The theme of the conference is: The Power and Limits of Private Law.

We invite abstract submissions relating to the conference theme in the areas of torts, contracts, trusts, restitution, unjust enrichment, remedies, or other areas of Canadian private law where the topic is relevant to Obligations. We welcome either complete or in-progress papers for presentation at the conference. Abstracts of approximately 200 words should be submitted here by March 1, 2022. A limited number of papers may be invited for inclusion in a published essay collection on the conference theme following the event.

Warm wishes,
Sam & Marcus
